Denmark (1971-Current) Dansk Smykkekunst A/S is managed by Malene and Christian Storm, who are second generation in the family business which started in a basement in Copehagen in 1971. Malene is the company’s creative designer while Christian is responsible for the company's daily operations.  All jewelry from Dansk Smykkekunst is nickel and lead free and conforms to the regulations as laid out in the EU directive. We always manufacture our jewelry to the highest standards. The base material used is copper or brass; this is then plated with 14-carat gold, sterling silver or rhodium. Rhodium is a fine precious metal such as silver, but the advantage of rhodium is that it unlike silver does not oxidize. In addition, our jewelry is made of semi-precious stones, beads, glass – or freshwater pearls, Mother of Pearl and enamels all selected from the best quality available.
