Their work was part of the Scandinavian movement known as Skonvirke in Danish, which translates to beautiful work. It’s a fitting phrase as many of the makers of this movement were trained sculptors, designing and crafting their way to unforgettable and highly coveted works of art. Skonvirke held an aesthetic tenet which was part Arts and Crafts and part Art Nouveau. Eiler and Marloe specialized in silver jewelry and were known for high quality products and design.
