Collection: Phil Reeder
Addie’s, founded in 1958 by Addie Rinella, has been a family-run business for over six decades.
Tony Rinella, the former owner, has officially passed the store to Marlene Gladden, a Lock Haven native returning after 20 years.
Phil Reeder, the master goldsmith, remains with the store, ensuring continuity in craftsmanship and service.
Addie Rinella was one of the first women to own a business on Main Street, contributing to the local retail landscape.
The store has evolved from a small gift shop to a multi-generational establishment known for fine jewelry and custom design.
After facing challenges like the flooding from Tropical Storm Agnes in 1972, the business adapted and expanded, reflecting resilience and community support. Around that time, Tony joined the business and expanded it with a fine jewelry section, which took off very quickly with the addition of Phil Reeder as resident bench jeweler. By the 1980s, Tony and his brother Peter, moved the business into a much larger, 10,000-square-foot showroom.
In 2017, Peter retired and the showroom was sold, but Rinella continued with the business with Reeder and Jessica Baney.
