Collection: Alain Lerolle
(1947-2012) French Painter, Jewelry Designer, Sculptor. Lerolle opened his first gallery in Tréguier (Côtes d'Armor) in the 1970s.
A designer of contemporary jewelry, he was a pioneer in the use and mastery of titanium. He was particularly interested in graphic and abstract compositions that the use of brooches and pendants enabled him to create. For many years, he worked with glass, creating totems, and exhibited his works throughout the world.
In the early 90s, he gradually returned to painting, creating geometric abstractions and mixed-media works. Constructed, architectural, composed painting, which is reminiscent of his jewelry creations. He also enjoyed varying the media, by creating decorative objects (boxes, porcelain).
His works are regularly offered at auction by major auction houses (Tajan, Pierre Bergé, Aguttes, etc.).
