Gorgeous, sunny and bright set of modernist brooch and earrings by the iconic Aksel Holmsen. Brooch is a lovely abstract modernist style with a lined patterned in a beautiful chartreuse green with 24k yellow gold gilding to the sterling silver. Gilding is strong and bright with only minor scratches to the back of brooch. The enamel is clean, clear and glossy with no damage. Included with purchase is an adapter, so the brooch can be worn as a pendant if preferred.
The earrings feature an oval shape design, with a separate center that is raised on the bottom half, giving them a 3D look. Outer ring is bright yellow and the centers are chartreuse green. Gilding is strong and bright on the back with only very minor wear in the form of micro scratches. The enamel is clean, clear and glossy with no damage. Earrings have been converted to post back with 18k yellow gold plated posts and backs.
Positively stunning and highly collectible set, in museum quality condition. Hard to believe it's almost 100 years old. Please excuse the lines and/or reflections, as the enamel is shiny and hard to photograph.
