Superb Mathieu Matégot Style Brass & Steel Black and Gold Square in Square Pattern Magazine Rack 1950s

Fantastic 1950's brass and steel enameled magazine rack. The frame is made of brass and has been treated with a tinted enamel to prevent rust or damage. The inner screen is matte black steel in a very 1950's "Square in Square" pattern (very popular with breeze walls of the same era). The inner screen has been given a light tough up paint and it literally just sits inside the frame and stays in place with it's edges being tucked up under the lip of the frame. Easy to remove for cleaning. I have given it 4 new black rubber feet, so overall this piece is literally new! Gorgeous accessory to any style of décor Mid Century or not, office or home.
